About the Campaign

Transgender youth deserve the chance to participate in school sports — to learn the lessons sports teach, on and off the field. But now, that right has been taken away.

In response, Lambda Legal is sharing stories from across the country of people whose lives have been shaped by the power of sports long after the final whistle.

These stories are a testament to why it matters that all kids, including transgender youth, belong on the field, the court, and the track. Because this isn’t just about sports — it’s about kids being fully accepted for who they are, at school and beyond. It’s about making sure every young person feels like they belong and knows they have people in their corner — so they can become their best selves, follow their dreams, and help build stronger communities.
